FreeCAD 0.21.0: The Latest Version for Android is Now Available for Download

The latest version of FreeCAD, 0.21.0, has been released and is now available for download on your Android device. This new version brings several exciting features and improvements to the table, making it an excellent update for both new and existing users.

One of the most notable changes in this version is the reorganization of some of the buttons and toolbars. The Cut, Copy, and Paste buttons have been moved to a new Clipboard toolbar, while the Undo, Redo, and Refresh buttons can be found on the new Edit toolbar. These buttons can be customized to suit your needs by adjusting your toolbar settings.

The Print and Edit Mode buttons have also been removed from the File toolbar, but you can still access these features through other means. The workbench selector has gained a new feature that allows you to optionally place it in the menubar instead of the toolbar area.

In terms of functionality, the display style of measurement results generated by the Part or PartDesign workbench can now be changed in the preferences. This is particularly useful when working with assemblies where numerical issues may cause touching objects to intersect.

Another significant improvement is the addition of the Section Cut tool, which allows you to cut intersecting objects and create persistent section cuts. Additionally, several new parameters have been added to the Navigation Cube, including a checkbox that lets you toggle the movability of the cube.

Other notable changes include improved default font selection and sizing, borders around buttons for better visibility, and larger, hexagonal corner faces on the Navigation Cube. The cube is no longer displayed in perspective when the 3D view is set to orthographic mode, making it easier to navigate your models.

If you're still using the old scheme, be aware that it will no longer be supported in future versions of FreeCAD. Instead, the default backup file naming scheme has been changed to FCBak.
